 About the Role 
Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting for an experienced School Chef to work in a busy primary school kitchen located in Wolverhampton WV1, close to the city centre with excellent public transport links.

 
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking school meals from a set menu, including breakfast, lunch, and after-school club meals, ensuring high standards of food hygiene and quality are maintained at all times.

 
 Key Responsibilities 

•  Prepare and cook healthy school meals following a pre-set menu
  
  

•  Ensure all meals meet dietary, allergen, and portion requirements
  
  

•  Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen
  
  

•  Work independently and manage time effectively
  
  

•  Support catering for breakfast, lunch, and after-school sessions
  
  

 

 
 Requirements 
✅ Fully Enhanced DBS certificate (essential)

✅ Previous experience working as a School Chef, School Cook, or Catering Assistant in an educational setting

✅ Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and kitchen safety regulations

✅ Strong organisational and communication skills

 
 Shift Pattern 

•  Monday: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
  
  

•  Tuesday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
  
  

•  Wednesday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
  
  

•  Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  
  

•  Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  
  

•  Sunday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
