Class 2 Multi-drop Driver
Location: Birmingham
Pay Rate: £16.11 per hour (PAYE)

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (HGV C) Multi-drop Driver for a busy distribution operation based in South Birmingham.
This role involves curbside deliveries and collections of palletised goods, completing around 10 - 15 drops per day using curtain-side vehicles fitted with tail lifts. The role is physically active and requires drivers to use electric pump trucks to move pallets at delivery points.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop curbside deliveries and collections (approximately 15 drops per day)
• Deliver palletised goods using curtainside vehicles with tail lifts
• Use electric pump trucks to load and unload pallets
• Complete daily vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time
• Maintain high standards of customer service at delivery locations
• Comply with driver hours and road transport regulations

Working Hours

• 05:00 – 07:00 starts
• 10–12-hour shifts
• Monday to Friday with potential overtime depending on workload

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 2 vehicles
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous multidrop delivery experience preferred
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
• Good understanding of driver hours and road safety regulations

Pay & Benefits

• £16.11 per hour
• Full PAYE employment
• Holiday pay accrued in addition to hourly rate
• Temporary to Permanent opportunities with a well-established operation
