Hours: 07:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
Rate: £14.00

The Role
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team in Northampton. Initially, you will be responsible for operating a 3.5t IVECO Flatbed, transporting equipment to various sites. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity; for the right candidate, this role will evolve into a specialist position involving the towing of high-pressure Breathing Air Trailers.
Key Responsibilities

• Driving: Safely operating a 3.5t IVECO flatbed truck in and around the Northampton area and beyond.
• Loading/Unloading: Ensuring all loads are securely strapped and weight is distributed correctly on the flatbed.
• Vehicle Care: Conducting daily walk-around checks and maintaining the vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition.
• Specialist Transition: (Upon permanent contract) Training to tow and position 10-cylinder Breathing Air Trailers at client sites, ensuring they are level, secure, and ready for operational use.

Requirements

• License: Full UK Driving License (Category B)
• Towing Capability: Must have BE entitlement on your license (or be willing to demonstrate significant experience/training to gain this for the permanent role).
• Reliability: 07:00 start time
• Attitude: This is more than a "delivery" job. You will eventually be handling life-safety equipment, so a high attention to detail and a "safety-first" mindset are essential.
• Experience: Previous experience with flatbed vehicles is highly desirable.
