Test & Inspect Electrician

Salary: £38,000 
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Test & Inspect Electrician to join our client’s team in Leicester. You’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical inspections and testing across a variety of commercial and domestic sites, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICR)
• Diagnose, repair and rectify any electrical issues found during testing
• Compile clear, concise test reports and certificates
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and circuits tested
• Work safely and in accordance with company and industry health & safety policies

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical inspection or related field
• City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection & Testing
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification
• Full, valid UK driving licence

Bonus Structure & Benefits

• Bonus:
  
  • £2.70 per extra circuit tested over 45 daily
  • £3.50 per circuit tested on Saturdays & Sundays
  • Average bonus earned last week across 50 engineers: £450
  • Typical daily circuits: 55–60 per engineer
• Holidays: 20 days annual leave (4 days to be taken during Christmas shutdown; engineers who work over this period receive both holiday pay and circuit bonus)
