A leading, employee-owned multidisciplinary consultancy is growing its Birmingham civil engineering team and is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in development infrastructure.

You’ll take ownership of residential-led projects across the UK, from early feasibility through to technical approvals and construction. This is a key delivery role within a tight-knit team that values creativity, technical excellence, and true work–life balance.

What you’ll be doing:

Running your own projects and managing deadlines/resources
Leading design work for S38, S278 and S104 submissions
Preparing drainage strategies, levels strategies, groundworks packages and planning documents
Producing 3D designs and drainage modelling (PDS & Flow)
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Liaising directly with clients, consultants and local authorities

What you’ll bring:

Strong experience in UK residential infrastructure
Proficiency with AutoCAD, PDS and Flow
Solid understanding of planning requirements, technical standards and approvals
Clear communication skills and confidence leading client conversations
