Support Worker – Nights

Location: Bristol

Salary: £28,510 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours)

Hours: 7pm–6am | 4 nights on / 4 nights off

The Role We are recruiting a Nights Support Worker to provide out-of-hours support in an accommodation-based service for young people aged 16–25. You will help maintain a safe, supportive environment and support residents to move towards positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the building and residents
• Provide housing management, welfare advice, and practical support
• Engage with young people, offering guidance, emotional support, and signposting
• Carry out room and building checks and report repairs
• Maintain accurate records, including incidents and risk assessments
• Respond to emergencies and safeguarding concerns
• Manage low-level anti-social behaviour

About You

• Experience working with young people, particularly those with complex needs or homelessness in  Support Worker role
• Knowledge of safeguarding, housing, welfare benefits, and risk management
• Confident lone worker with strong communication skills
• Able to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries
• Flexible to work nights and weekends

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (or working towards) in youth work, health & social care, mental health, or housing
• IT literate with good written skills
• Desirable: Safeguarding, Mental Health First Aid, or coaching qualifications
