A well-established, family run, specialist contractor based in Somerset is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support its expanding commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and stable business, delivering a diverse range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the South West.

The Role

Working closely with the Commercial Manager and part of a small commercial team, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with cost control and financial reporting on live projects
• Supporting the preparation of valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Subcontractor procurement, including enquiries, comparisons, and appointments
• Supporting tender preparation and estimating when required
• Working collaboratively with site teams to ensure best commercial practice

About You

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within civil engineering or construction
• A min HNC level qualification in a quantity surveying or construction related subject
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Good communication skills with a proactive, professional approach
• Keen to learn, develop, and progress within a growing contractor
