Machine Operative

We are excited to recruit a Machine Operative to join our machine shop team on an ongoing basis at a leading manufacturing company in Lincoln, proudly represented by Pertemps Network Group. What will I be paid?
Hourly rate: £12.50 per hour.
 
What hours will I work?
2 on, 2 off shift pattern – 06:00 to 16:50
 
What will my responsibilities be?

• Operating and maintaining equipment, such as CNC machines, lathes, or milling machines
• Setting up machinery for production
• Monitoring machine performance and adjusting as needed
• Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet standards
• Collaborating with the machine shop team to meet daily or weekly production targets
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors promptly

 
What skills and experience do I need?

• Experience operating CNC machines, lathes, or milling machines (preferred)
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
• Competent English and numeracy skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable transport to reach site
