Riverside Recruitment are seeking motivated and reliable Kitchen Porters & Catering Assistants to join a fabulous team based in Penrith.

In this role, you’ll be assisting with various tasks to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the chefs and catering staff. If you’re passionate about food preparation, cleanliness, and teamwork, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as directed by the head chef or catering team.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Support in stocking and organising food and supplies, ensuring everything is ready for service.
• Ensure all kitchen waste is disposed of correctly and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during events and service.
• Adhere to all food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Support other kitchen staff as needed during peak times.

Qualifications:

• Previous is not essential as full training provided
• A passion for food and a desire to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
