Delivery Driver Required

📍 Chorley, Lancashire
🕒 7.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
🏢 Delivery Driving – 3.5tn Flatbed

We are currently recruiting for a delivery driver to support our client based in Chorley, Lancashire, operating within the plant and tool hire sector. This is a permanent contract offering an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive company.

The Role:
As a delivery driver, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, delivering plant and tool hire all around the North-west – e.g. Preston, Blackburn, North Manchester. Driving both small vans and a 3.5tn flatbed vehicle. 

Key Responsibilities:
- Handling the delivery and collection of hire equipment and consumables from industrial sites
- Ensure safe loading of the vehicle
- Updating job information using a PDA system
- Inspecting and identifying any damage to tools and equipment, reporting findings promptly
- Delivering & collecting goods on time
- Adhering to all Hire safety procedures, audits, and compliance requirements
- Providing a dependable, first-class service

The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving and a clean licence
- Able to lift heavy loads up to 20kgs
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience using mobile PDA devices
- Proactive and reliable approach to work
- Knowledge of welding equipment or similar equipment (advantageous but not essential)


What’s on Offer:
- £13.34 per hour
- 12 Weeks temporary to fixed term contract
- Full-time hours (Monday–Friday, 7.30am–5pm)
- 28 days holiday
- Delivery Driving, across the north-west, base in Chorley, Lancashire
