Pertemps is proud to be working in partnership with Royal Mail — the UK’s trusted postal service — and we’re looking for experienced HGV 1 (C+E) Drivers to join the busy Swindon Distribution Centre.

If you’re after steady, well-paid trunking work with shifts planned in advance and no faffing about with heavy handball, this could be just the job.


💼 The Role

• Trunking parcels and mail between Royal Mail depots nationwide

• Clean, straightforward runs

• Minimal manual handling

• Professional, well-organised operation

Shifts are confirmed 1 week in advance, so you can actually plan your life outside the cab.



💰 What’s in It for You?

• £22.59 – £24.61 per hour

• Start times between 15:00 – 02:00

• Various shift lengths to suit you

• Guaranteed daily hours

✅ What We Need From You

• Valid HGV 1 (C+E) licence (held minimum 2 years)

• At least 6 months commercial driving experience

• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• No more than 6 minor penalty points (no DD, DR, IN, CD or TT endorsements)

• Willingness to work weekends desirable

• Good geographical knowledge

• Solid understanding of WTD & driver hours

• Confident with manual tachograph entries

• Able to pass a DBS security check

• Completion of site assessment & induction before first shift
