Membership Advisor
Location: London Office, with a blend of home and office-based working 
Contract: Fixed term until July 2027
Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week
Salary: £31,925 pro rata per annum

Interviews to take place end of January 2026 with a view to a start thereafter

Role
This role is part of the wider team administering operational processes, delivering services efficiently, and ensuring excellent customer service. Responsibilities include processing applications and fees, maintaining CRM systems, financial reconciliation, and providing guidance to users on processes and procedures.  As Membership Advisor you will have significant customer engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers, employers, educational institutions, and professional members.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Administration
  • Administer end-to-end operational processes, including applications, renewals, reinstatements, and upgrades.
  • Review and process applications across multiple categories.
  • Maximise retention through annual renewals, fee collection, and member engagement.
  • Administer operational policies, including concessions and leave of absence.
  • Process direct debits and other payments in accordance with relevant guidance.
  • Support operational processes for disciplinary procedures and resignations.

Customer Service
  • Provide professional support and guidance to stakeholders via email and phone.
  • Advise on eligibility, processes, and options for fees or services.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and engagement to enhance satisfaction and retention.
CRM and Data Management
  • Maintain and update CRM systems.
  • Ensure all activities comply with data protection regulations (GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018).
  • Produce accurate reports and documentation.
Other Duties
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as directed.
  • Work within team or departmental budgets as required.
Your experience
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced office (ideally within a professional membership organisation)
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience administering operational policies and processes (desirable).
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (desirable).
  • Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Understanding operational complexities of a professional membership organisation 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. 
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel; able to use CRM effectively. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work effectively. 
  • Able to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work. 
  • Flexible team player with a positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK.
