Electoral Services Assistant (Remote)

Location: Fully remote
Pay: £16.14 per hour PAYE / circa £20 Umbrella
Duration: 3 months
Hours: Full-time

RED Personnel are delighted to be supporting Hammersmith & Fulham Council with the recruitment of an Electoral Services Assistant to handle local election enquiries during this busy period.

This role requires proven Web Eros experience and strong electoral services knowledge to deliver first-class resident support remotely.
Role OverviewAs the first point of contact for election-related queries, you'll manage inbound calls, emails, web chats and more about voter registration, local elections and electoral roll matters. You'll resolve issues at first contact where possible, using Web Eros to maintain accurate data whilst upholding GDPR standards and promoting digital self-service.

This is a front-door role directly impacting the council's resident satisfaction and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle local election enquiries efficiently across phone, email, web and SMS channels.
  • Utilise Web Eros to access, update and maintain electoral records accurately.
  • Process payments and basic transactions following council procedures and data protection policies.
  • Promote self-service options and signpost complex queries to specialist teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a professional, calm and 'can-do' attitude under pressure.
  • Scan, index and dispatch post/admin tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Stay updated on electoral legislation changes and service developments.
Essential Requirements
  • Hands-on experience using Web Eros (non-negotiable).
  • Sound knowledge of electoral services and local election processes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills.
  • Strong IT/keyboard skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven customer service in a high-volume contact environment.
  • GCSE level education (or equivalent); customer service qualification desirable.
  • Ability to work full-time remotely with flexibility and initiative.
