Job Title: Sheltered Housing Officer
Reports To: Sheltered Housing Manager
Duration: Initially 4 Months
Location: On-site 5 days per week (West London) – Patch/Office-Based Role

About the Role
Join our dedicated team delivering an enhanced tenancy and estate management service focused on improving quality of life for older and vulnerable residents. This front-line role requires a hands-on approach, working directly within the community 5 days a week to provide responsive support and safeguard resident welfare. You will play a vital part in coordinating services with key partners, ensuring sheltered housing schemes remain safe, well-maintained, and responsive to resident needs.

Responsibilities
Deliver a comprehensive, enhanced housing management service that supports tenants in maintaining their tenancies and accessing appropriate housing and support services.
Actively manage and monitor sheltered housing schemes, ensuring communal areas are secure, clean, and well maintained while balancing planned maintenance with resident needs.
Coordinate repairs for residents with limited mobility, deploying handy person support to provide a tailored service.
Oversee the rehousing process including property inspections, void management, arranging viewings, and tenancy sign-ups for new and transferring residents.
Collaborate closely with the sheltered housing team and key stakeholders to identify improvements and develop service enhancements.
Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures, promoting efficiency and high standards in service delivery.

About You
Experience working with landlords and tenants, particularly in a public or social housing environment, is highly desirable.
Proven ability engaging effectively with a diverse community, handling sensitive issues and supporting vulnerable tenants with empathy.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities confidently.
Competent in maintaining accurate records and managing information, both digitally and in hard copy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a calm, clear, and professional manner.
Motivated by continuous professional development and improving community outcomes.
