Job Description

Family Solicitor (Head of Department), 5+ PQE, West Sussex, £60-75,000 (DOE). A highly regarded specialist firm, known for its expertise and ambitious growth plans, is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor to join its team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced family law professional eager to embrace a new challenge, step into a leadership role, and thrive in a supportive, dynamic, and forward-thinking environment. JOB REF: 215302851

THE ROLE:
You will lead your own caseload of privately funded family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, cohabitation disputes, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and private children law cases. In this senior role, you will take full ownership of your files, mentor junior team members, and build strong, lasting client relationships. Joining this dedicated family law practice, you will work across the full spectrum of privately funded matters while shaping the future of the team and enjoying excellent opportunities for career progression and long-term professional development.

THE CANDIDATE:
We welcome applications from Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of five years’ PQE and strong technical expertise across a broad range of family law matters. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the confidence to manage files independently. We are looking for a positive, collaborative professional with the drive to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the growth and development of the practice.

THE FIRM:
The firm is highly respected for its exceptional client care, high-quality privately funded family work, and a collaborative team culture. It offers a friendly, modern working environment where individual contributions are valued, and career progression is supported. The firm also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, BUPA private healthcare, a pension scheme, and structured development and leadership programmes to support professional growth and long-term success.
