Job Description

Head of Litigation | 5+ PQE | Devon | Competitive Salary + 15% Bonus

A well-established law firm in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Head of Litigation to lead and develop its litigation department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious litigation solicitor to step into a senior leadership role.

The successful candidate will oversee a small but busy litigation team. The role will involve both hands-on fee earning and team management, ensuring the continued growth and success of the department.

The litigation work is varied and high-quality, with the current department specialising in Personal Injury, Contentious Probate, and Property Litigation. The incoming Head of Litigation will take responsibility for managing their own caseload while also supervising and supporting other members of the team, helping to shape the future direction of the department.

This is an office-based role, as the position requires regular in-person leadership and team management. The firm offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, alongside a 15% bonus on anything billed, providing strong earning potential.

This role would suit a Litigation Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE who is looking to take the next step into a department leadership position within a supportive and well-regarded firm.

If you are an experienced litigator seeking a senior role with genuine progression and the opportunity to lead a team, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
