JOB TITLE: Commercial Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 2-5
LOCATION: Berkshire
SALARY: £60,000 - £75,000 (DOE)

THE ROLE:
A respected firm is seeking a Commercial Solicitor to join its established team in Berkshire. The role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial matters across the private, public and third sectors, acting for clients including local authorities, education providers, healthcare organisations and commercial businesses. You will advise on a variety of commercial arrangements including trading agreements, IT contracts, outsourcing, franchising, intellectual property matters, manufacturing agreements and data protection issues. The position involves drafting and negotiating contracts of varying complexity and value, while working closely with clients as an extension of their in-house legal teams. This role provides the opportunity to take responsibility for your own matters from an early stage, while benefiting from the support of an experienced and collaborative team. Hybrid working is available, typically with two to three days in the office depending on business needs.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with between two and five years’ post-qualification experience in commercial law. You will have a solid grounding in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and a keen interest in developing your technical and commercial skill set. You will demonstrate strong analytical ability, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service. Experience working on projects involving public sector clients or local government would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
