Criminal Solicitor

•The appointed solicitor will represent clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including police station attendance, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court work, providing clear legal advice, advocacy, case preparation.

•You will handle key case administration including correspondence, negotiations, time recording and billing, ensure Legal Aid Agency compliance, stay updated on legal developments, and undertake supervision or out-of-hours work where required.

•Applications are open to candidates with strong communication skills, excellent problem solving skills, and the capacity to prioritise, with experience working to targets and high level IT proficiency.

•You will be a qualified legal professional with experience in Legal Aid Portal and funding procedures; privately funded work experience, Police Station Accreditation, and Duty Solicitor status are desirable.

•The firm offers a competitive salary and 25 days of holiday entitlement, increasing to 28 days after three years and 30 days after five years.
