Payroll Executive

Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our well-established client based in North Lanarkshire for a Payroll Executive to join their growing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking a supportive working environment, strong team culture, and a genuinely flexible hybrid working model with only 2 days per week in the office.


The Role

As Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Payroll, you will ensure compliance with current legislation and deliver a high standard of service to employees.


Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the end-to-end processing of monthly payroll
• Ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, bonuses and deductions
• Processing starters, leavers, and payroll amendments
• Managing statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
• Supporting pension administration and submissions
• Handling payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
• Assisting with payroll reporting and reconciliation
• Ensuring compliance with HMRC and current payroll legislation

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a payroll position in bureau
• Has strong knowledge of payroll processes and UK legislation
• Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrates excellent numerical and administrative skills
• Can manage confidential information with discretion
• Is confident using payroll systems and Excel

What’s on Offer

• Salary £31,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
