Customer Support Sales Engineer

Are you technically minded with a passion for engineering and customer support? We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our client’s specialist industry, where you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer satisfaction.

As a Customer Support Sales Engineer, you will:
  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Support clients by sizing and selecting appropriate items.
  • Provide technical support and product recommendations tailored to customer needs.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and project documentation.
  • Liaise with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships through excellent communication and follow-up.
  • Assist the external sales team with technical input and project coordination.
  • Use CRM systems and internal tools to manage enquiries, quotations, and project pipelines.
Skills required for this Customer Support Sales Engineer role:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications or drawings.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and take part in ongoing training.
  • Own transport essential due to rural location (no public transport access).
Details of this Customer Support Sales Engineer role:

  • Salary:  Starting salary from £24,500 DOE
  • Work-Life Balance: Option to work contracted hours over 4 days (subject to workload)
  • Holiday: 30 days including statutory, rising to 33 after 1 year
