We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Transport Administrator to join our client’s busy transport office based in Sandbach. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
The role is ongoing, with the potential for long-term opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities of this Transport Administrator role:

• Provide daily administrative support to the Transport team.
• Plan and monitor vehicle schedules, driver routes, and deliveries.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and other departments to ensure smooth transport operations.
• Process delivery notes, PODs, and driver paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date records on transport management systems.
• Support compliance with driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and legal documentation.
• Handle telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist the Transport Manager with reporting and general office duties as required.

Skills & Experience Required for this Transport Administrator role:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, or administrative roles (preferred).
• Strong IT skills – proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, reliable, and positive team player.

Details of this Transport Administrator role:

• £13.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday 7:30-17:00
• Friendly, supportive team environment
• Ongoing temporary position
• Location: Sandbach
