About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide dedicated, hands-on support to a Visually Impaired Social Worker within a busy and supportive team. The role is varied, meaningful and plays a key part in ensuring high-quality assessments, meetings and records are completed accurately and on time.
You’ll act as a trusted support, helping with administration, note-taking and logistics, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

No personal care is involved
The Social Worker is supported by a Guide Dog, so you must be comfortable working alongside one.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Typing up assessments, case notes and meeting records accurately and promptly
  • Attending assessments and meetings to take detailed notes
  • Sitting in on meetings (including case conferences and reviews) to support documentation
  • Managing emails, diaries and administrative tasks
  • Supporting the Social Worker during hospital and site visits
  • Travelling with the Social Worker to hospital sites and meetings via company taxi
  • Ensuring paperwork, records and systems are kept up to date
  • Providing reliable, day-to-day organisational support
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong typing skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and databases
  • Experience in administrative, PA or support roles (social care or public sector desirable)
  • Comfortable attending meetings and working in professional environments
  • Highly organised, reliable and discreet
  • Confident working independently while supporting another professional
  • Comfortable working alongside a Guide Dog

Why Apply?
  • Make a real difference by supporting frontline social work
  • Gain valuable experience within social service
  • Enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same
  • Work closely in a trusted, one-to-one support position
  • Be part of meaningful work that directly supports service delivery
