Job Description
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Description
A growing Digital Procurement Practice is seeking a select number of senior leaders to help clients modernize, optimize, and future-proof their procurement organizations.
High-performing procurement functions are powered by the right combination of technology, intelligent processes, and operating models. The practice partners with clients at every stage of their digital journey—from early strategy through optimization of existing solutions.
The team acts as a trusted, technology-agnostic advisor rather than a systems integrator. The focus is on helping clients define the right path, select appropriate technologies, and maximize value from implementations—regardless of the delivery partner.
This is a client-facing leadership role for individuals with deep subject matter expertise, strong consulting capabilities, and the ability to guide complex digital transformation programs.
What We Do
Support across the full digital procurement lifecycle, including:
- Digital procurement strategy
- Technology selection
- Implementation optimization
- Optimization and remediation
Job Responsibilities
- Advise clients on procurement technology implementations, with hands-on experience across leading Source-to-Pay (S2P) platforms
- Identify implementation risks, design pitfalls, and change challenges using prior program experience
- Support optimization and stabilization of existing procurement systems
- Collaborate effectively with technical and data teams without requiring deep technical specialization
- Understand how procurement data is captured, governed, and used for insights
- Translate business requirements into practical technology and data solutions while recognizing system limitations
- Assess current procurement processes and operating models
- Design future-state processes that are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals
- Balance standardization with flexibility to meet diverse stakeholder needs
- Address critical non-technology enablers such as governance, policy, organizational design, and people capabilities
- Support change management initiatives to drive adoption and long-term success
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
- Lead workstreams or full engagements, managing scope, quality, and expectations
- Coach and mentor junior team members and client resources
- Contribute to practice development through thought leadership and knowledge sharing
- Strengthen client relationships and identify additional opportunities
- Participate in business development, proposals, and client presentations
- Build market presence through insight-led conversations
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6–10 years of consulting experience in procurement and/or supply chain, including S2P implementations
- Proven track record of leading client engagements end-to-end
- Experience in client relationship expansion and/or business development
