Job Description

We are recruiting a dedicated Customer Service Advisor.

This role is based at our client’s professional and collaborative Maidstone office, where teamwork and mutual support are integral to the working environment. Operating within a fast-paced setting, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer interactions, ensuring high standards of service, and resolving queries with efficiency and professionalism.

 

Hours: Monday to Friday (full time)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Pay: £26,000 per year

Location: Maidstone

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process customer sales orders and payments received via phone, email, or online platforms

  • Conduct scheduled outbound calls to generate customer orders

  • Assess inbound calls and emails to determine appropriate action—sales, complaints, or technical support

  • Manage the daily flow of emails and voicemails, ensuring timely responses

  • Troubleshoot initial customer technical issues, escalating to first-line support when needed

  • Coordinate reactive maintenance tasks based on customer segmentation, working closely with Technical Service Engineer and Senior Regional Technician

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in sales and/or customer service

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet service level agreements and achieve shared objectives

  • Strong customer service skills, including effective management of complaints and resolution of issues

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, including root cause analysis and identifying long-term solutions

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet personal goals

  • Resilient, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards of service

  • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude towards change and innovation

  • Naturally inquisitive and hands-on, with a strong appetite for learning and development
