Are you looking for a hands‑on role with long‑term potential? We are recruiting for a Yard and Facilities Operative to join a busy and well‑established company based in Medway, Kent. This is a fantastic temp‑to‑perm opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, variety, and keeping a site running efficiently.

Yard and Facilities Operative Role:

As a Yard and Facilities Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the yard area, carrying out handyman duties, cleaning and supporting general site operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities - Yard Operative Duties:

• Loading and unloading vehicles

• Organising and safely storing materials

• General yard housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe environment (working outdoors)

• Assisting with stock movement and manual handling tasks

• Managing waste and ensuring all recycling is correctly separated and disposed of

Facilities & Handyman Duties:

• Performing basic building maintenance and repairs

• Supporting facilities management with day‑to‑day tasks

• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues

• General upkeep of company grounds and buildings

Requirements:

• Forklift Counterbalance licence is preferred but not essential

• Previous experience as a Yard and Facilities Operative, yard operative, or similar role (advantageous)

• Comfortable with manual labour and outdoor work

• Strong work ethic and team‑focused attitude
