Business Support Administrator – Facilities Support

Location: Ballard House, PL1
Hours: 37 per week
Assignment: 12-week temporary assignment
Pay: £12.85ph

Pertemps are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Customer Facing Worker to support the smooth running of a major public building. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a customer‑focused environment and is confident juggling multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
 
You’ll be the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors - helping to keep the building running safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Front‑of‑House & Customer Service
  • Welcoming visitors and inducting them on arrival
  • Acting as incident officer when required
  • Coordinating meeting rooms, facilities bookings, and electric vehicle reservations
  • Issuing keys, access passes, and supporting general enquiries

Facilities & Building Support
  • Receiving and securely managing post and deliveries
  • Liaising with external contractors for repairs and security services
  • Administering building access systems
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the building in line with service standards

Operational Responsibilities
  • Working to schedules, rotas, and task lists
  • Ensuring charges for facilities and services are agreed and processed
  • Helping building users carry out their roles effectively with the right resources in place

What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong communication skills and a confident customer‑facing manner
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience working flexibly, including occasional out‑of‑hours support
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your own workload
  • Understanding of building management or administrative procedures

Desirable
  • Experience in Facilities Management or coordinating building services
  • Knowledge of billing or invoicing processes
  • Customer service or First Aid training
  • Relevant administration qualifications
