Job Description
This will include being part of the overall design and creative concept, together with scripting and storyboarding of the digital learning components, enabling our levels of accessibility, and functionality testing.
What you’ll be doing as a Learning Designer
- Write high-quality scripts and develop storyboards for the production of digital learning. This could include video, animation or e-learning formats.
- Act as an authority for learning design, ensuring learning is creative, engaging and effective for all learning styles.
- Support the transformation of learning to a 70/20/10 model.
- Use a range of technologies and solutions to develop a learning lead culture of self-development and continuous learning and development.
- Ensure all learning solutions delivered have clear learning objectives (using Blooms Taxonomy) and business outcomes.
- Work collaboratively as part of a sprint team, together with Learning Consultants and subject matter experts to develop and deliver appropriate learning solutions to meet project needs.
- Ensure that company policy, goals and objectives are being adhered to and represented within design of learning.
- Work with subject matter experts to gather and refine the raw content information.
- Manage relationships with external advisors and providers in an efficient and effective way
- Engage across Thames Water to obtain buy in and commitment for the learning solution.
Base location: Swindon - Hybrid
Working pattern: 36 Hours
What you should bring to the role
- Must have experience with and be able to produce a piece of learning developed in Articulate Storyline as part of the interview process.
- Proven use/skills in: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Video creation.
- Experience using audio and visual equipment to create engaging content.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines with a high level of problem-solving skills.
- Project management knowledge with the ability to structure, plan, control, and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Specialist skills in video design and/or graphic design.
