Job Description

What you’ll do as a Personal Assistant – Digital & Transformation
Leadership & Diary Management
- Provide skilful, intuitive, and practical diary management for the Digital and Transformation Leadership Team, maximising their time while supporting wellbeing and work-life balance.
- Manage multiple diaries, expenses, and administrative tasks to ensure leaders can focus on strategic priorities.
- Act as the first point of contact and professional “face” of the Digital Transformation Office.
- Field and manage queries from internal and external stakeholders, handling sensitive and confidential correspondence with discretion.
- Meet and greet senior stakeholders and direct requests appropriately.
- Organise meetings, events, and departmental activities, including agendas, minute-taking, and action tracking where required.
- Arrange travel, accommodation, and venue bookings as needed.
- Raise recruitment, purchasing, and shopping cart orders, ensuring approvals and authorisations are completed promptly.
- Draft confidential documents, memos, and responses on behalf of the Digital and Transformation Leadership Team.
- Provide administrative and content support for presentations and leadership communications.
- Support project and event management activities, including internal staff events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Executive Assistants and Personal - Assistants across the business, recognising that collaboration and networks are key to success in this role.
Working pattern – 36 hours Monday to Friday
What you should bring to the role
Essential Experience & Behaviours
- Proven success supporting senior leaders in a similar Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant role, ideally within a highly regulated environment.
- Highly organised, professional, agile, and diligent, with excellent attention to detail and grammar.
Loyal, trustworthy, and discreet, with a friendly, sociable, and approachable manner.
Strong problem-solving skills, offering practical solutions and showing initiative.

- A genuine passion for Thames Water’s Purpose, Values, and Behaviours.
- A positive, optimistic outlook with a desire to make a difference and drive improvement.
- Ability to understand customer needs and handle sensitive situations with care and empathy.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, capable of representing senior leaders professionally.
- Knowledge of social media, with the ability to respond to messages where required.
- Competitive salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays).
