Job Description
Leading a team, the post holder will ensure the achievement of sustainable outcomes, representing operations with responsibility for the identification, development, acceptance and implementation of solution which deliver the required totex benefits across the AMP.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Delivery Manager:
- Coordinate major project activities across strategic pumping stations and trunk sewers, including Tideway, HS2, and Capital Delivery programmes.
- Collaborate closely with the Tideway Integration Team and key internal stakeholders.
- Manage a £5m Capex budget, oversee multimillion‑pound project delivery, and control an Opex budget of over £1m.
- Lead and develop a team of 14, fostering a strong, customer‑focused culture.
- Deliver audit actions, system improvements, and effective resource planning across contractors and operational teams.
- Own health & safety performance for all project activities and lead continuous H&S improvements.
- Drive PR24/AMP8 planning and lead the regional risk review process.
- Deliver critical asset inspection programmes and lead wet well and sewer‑cleaning initiatives.
- Ensure operational needs are embedded in project delivery and manage seamless handovers with operational teams.
- Lead improvement programmes, stakeholder management, and development of outage plans aligned with capital and operational requirements.
Base location: Abbey Mills - Stratford - E15 2RN
Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week (Monday – Friday), plus the addition of a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
What should you bring to the role?
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
- Extensive operational understanding with a proven track record of delivering outcomes and budgets, and working closely with capital delivery teams
- Understanding of the challenges faced by operational teams.
- Ability to identify and break down system processes, operational and technological difficulties to assist in the development of key winning strategies
- Well-developed Project Management skills will be required to achieve the objectives of this role.
- Experience with change management programmes
- A proven track record of delivering under pressure.
- Strong leadership qualities with evidence of previous delivery
- Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience in supporting and driving a team of SME’s.
- Excellent Presentation Skills
- Full UK driving licence
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
- Technical knowledge of wastewater operations
- NEBOSH qualification
- Degree in a relevant field
