Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive improvements in Active Leakage Control. Reporting to the Leakage Strategy Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives within the Locate element of the PALM (Prevent, Aware, Locate & Mend) model to help achieve Thames Water’s leakage reduction targets.
- Monday – Friday 36 hours per week.
- Reading - Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB - (base location flexible to other Thames Water sites).
- Acting as ALC ( Active Leakage Control), Leakage SME working alongside the Leakage Transformation team to ensure strategy and approach towards active leakage control continues.
- Thorough understanding of Leakage operations in Thames, whilst maintaining a close view of wider industry initiatives. To ensure Thames Water remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Stakeholder management across all levels of the organisation.
- Interpret Leakage performance, whilst understanding the impact active leakage control activities are having towards delivering the PC targets.
- Supporting the delivery and implementation of Leakage change initiatives.
- The successful candidate will have developed key industry experience in leakage, with a specific focus on Active Leakage Control ways of working, techniques & technology.
- Can-do attitude, championing change across Leakage and passion for Continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge of hydraulic principles will also be required.
- Significant relevant industry experience in leading within a water network or leakage environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across a corporate business. Able to turn a complex challenge into a simple explanation for a senior audience.
- Strong communication skills are needed, and confidence when negotiating with internal and external stakeholders in this post.
- Fully competent at using Thames Leakage systems and reporting tools.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate company IT systems and office software.
- Offering a salary between £48,000 and £52,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
- 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
