Job Description

Inventory & Commercial Sales Coordinator

Our client is a highly regarded business experiencing significant growth, and is seeking a proactive, hands-on Inventory & Commercial Sales Coordinator to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This role is ideal for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in—managing current web-based sales, processing high-volume orders, reviewing margins, and ensuring customers receive accurate, up-to-date quotations. You’ll be confident working at pace, able to prioritise effectively, and comfortable supporting all areas of the sales function as the business continues to grow.

A background in sales support, order processing, or parts-related environments is highly beneficial. Strong Excel skills and the ability to pick things up quickly will be essential.

The Role
  • Download, update, and maintain weekly stock lists
  • Process all inbound enquiries and quotation requests from web-based platforms
  • Manage shared inboxes and prioritise communications efficiently
  • Handle direct sales enquiries, quote requests, and order outlines
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare, update, and follow up on customer quotations
  • Review older quotes and provide refreshed, accurate pricing
  • Provide excellent customer support, including order updates and aftersales communication
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to support smooth sales operations
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and promote additional products or services
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales processes and workflow efficiency
  • Manage inbound phone calls with professionalism and clarity
  • Support at trade shows, expos, or industry events when required

The Person
  • Proven experience in sales administration, order processing, or customer support
  • Experience in aerospace, engineering, or a similar technical sales environment is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, data handling)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and other internal teams

The Package
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (early finish at 4:30pm every Friday)
  • Hybrid working (1–2 days per week after probation)
  • 22 days’ holiday + bank holidays
  • £30,000+ salary, dependent on experience
  • 12-month maternity cover with the potential to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing business
