What you’ll be doing a Senior Project Manager
This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role where no two days are the same. You’ll balance office-based leadership with time on-site and with stakeholders, using your strong communication, problem-solving and people management skills to influence at all levels. If you thrive on delivering results, building high-performing teams and shaping how projects are delivered, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
- Leading and motivating a team of Project Managers to deliver high-quality projects safely, on time and within budget
- Owning project and programme performance, managing scope, schedules, costs and quality to drive successful outcomes
- Embedding and evolving best practice across project delivery, including processes, tools and ways of working
- Championing a strong health, safety and environmental culture across all projects
- Building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, confidently presenting to senior audiences
- Creating a customer-focused, accountable culture, adapting quickly to changing requirements to deliver excellent service
This is based in Reading
What you should bring to the role
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a project or operational environment, bringing strong leadership and people management capability
- Extensive background in construction or utilities project management, with a track record of delivering complex projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong commitment to health and safety, with experience embedding a positive H&S culture across projects and teams
- Commercially aware with experience in contract management and working closely with service providers to deliver successful outcomes
- A confident communicator and collaborator, able to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and work across teams to achieve shared goals
- A proactive, solutions-focused thinker who challenges the status quo, adapts to change and drives innovation to deliver value for customers and the wider business
- Offering an annual salary between £60,000 - £70,000, depending on skills and experience
- 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
