About the Role:

London Borough of Harrow is seeking an experienced Associate Education Psychologist to join the Children Services team. The successful candidate will be engaged as an associate to undertake highly specialised work on behalf of the Educational Psychology Service, enabling the local authority to discharge its statutory duties on behalf of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEN and disabilities).

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake statutory psychological assessments as part of the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process in line with the Children and Families Act 2014.
• Prepare high-quality psychological advice and reports to inform Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with SEND.
• Apply specialist psychological knowledge to assess cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural needs, recommending appropriate interventions and support strategies.
• Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers, SENCOs, and multi-agency partners to support inclusive education and positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Ensure professional practice complies with statutory guidance and regulatory standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council, while maintaining accurate records and meeting local authority timescales.
