Shift: Night Shift, 21:00 - 06:00 – Monday to Friday
Salary: £50,000
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Manufacturing Hygiene Supervisor to join our team in Wellingborough. In this role, you will oversee and manage a team of 6 individuals on the night shift, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and procedures in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of 6 hygiene technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to hygiene protocols and safety standards.
Hygiene Compliance:
Monitor and enforce strict adherence to hygiene regulations, including cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and personal hygiene standards as per company policies and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify cleanliness and hygiene standards across production areas, equipment, and facilities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and corrective actions. Prepare reports and documentation for management and regulatory purposes.
Training and Development:
Coordinate training sessions for hygiene staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new procedures to enhance team skills and performance.
Communication:
Collaborate effectively with production managers and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of hygiene-related issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in hygiene operations. Implement corrective and preventive measures as needed.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role focusing on hygiene and sanitation.
Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and industry best practices.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership and management abilities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Detail-Oriented:
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough compliance and documentation.
Communication:
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Availability: Ability to work night shifts (21:00 - 06:00) as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Food Hygiene or related field.
Experience with hygiene auditing and compliance inspections.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
