An established and highly respected building services consultancy are looking to appoint an Associate Mechanical Engineer due to planned growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a practice with a standout culture, a dynamic and collaborative team, and an inspiring track record of delivering innovative, sustainable buildings in partnership with leading architects.
The company is based in Central London and offers a full range of MEP and environmental design services across residential, cultural, hospitality and commercial sectors. Their projects range from new-build developments to the sensitive refurbishment of heritage buildings, with a strong focus on sustainability, building performance and occupant well-being.
What really sets them apart is their culture. This is a practice where engineers are encouraged to ask questions, challenge norms and think creatively. Everyone has a voice. Collaboration is genuine, ideas are shared openly, and leadership is supportive and accessible. The business is at an exciting stage of growth with a new studio space on the horizon, and they are actively shaping a senior team that can help guide the future direction of the practice.
This Associate-level role is ideal for someone who is looking to be more than just a project manager or technical expert. You will take a key client-facing role and represent the company in design meetings, workshops and strategic discussions. Internally, you will work closely with the directors to plan resources, review team performance and support future growth planning.
This is a role for someone who wants to be involved at every level, from project strategy and technical design to people development and broader business leadership.

About You
You are a motivated and capable mechanical engineer with a blend of technical confidence, people skills and commercial awareness. You take pride in delivering elegant, low-energy design solutions and enjoy mentoring others, managing resources and helping projects run smoothly.
You are someone who thrives in a team environment, values open communication and wants to have a hand in shaping the future of the business you work for.
