Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs? Do you have the resilience, empathy, and confidence to make a real difference in a child’s school experience?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who require additional help with emotional regulation, social skills, and positive engagement with learning.

This is a rewarding role where you will become a key adult in a child’s school life β€” helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

Your Role Will Include:

βœ” Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs
βœ” Supporting children with emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and social skills
βœ” Implementing behaviour support plans in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO
βœ” Assisting pupils during lessons, transitions, playtimes, and unstructured periods
βœ” Using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour calmly and safely
βœ” Building positive, consistent relationships that promote trust and stability
βœ” Monitoring progress and providing feedback to school staff and the agency

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

πŸ”Ή Experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, mentoring, care, coaching, etc.)
πŸ”Ή A calm, patient and resilient approach
πŸ”Ή Strong communication and relationship-building skills
πŸ”Ή Understanding of behaviour management or SEMH needs (desirable)
πŸ”Ή A proactive and team-focused attitude
πŸ”Ή A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
