About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Streatham seeking a compassionate Early Years Educator to provide SEN support within their Early Years setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children at the start of their educational journey, particularly those who require additional support with communication, development, and social interaction.

Working alongside the class teacher, SENCO, and wider Early Years team, you will play a key role in helping pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) access learning through structured play, communication support, and personalised strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN in the Early Years classroom
  • Support children with speech and language development, social interaction, and early learning skills
  • Assist with play-based learning activities that encourage engagement and development
  • Help implement individual support strategies and EHCP targets where required
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in young learners
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working in Early Years, nurseries, or primary school settings
  • Knowledge or experience supporting children with SEN such as Autism, speech and language needs, or developmental delay
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development and wellbeing
Why Work Through Our Agency?
  • Competitive daily rates
  • Opportunities for long-term placements and permanent school roles
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant
  • Access to a variety of supportive and welcoming schools
This role would be ideal for Early Years Practitioners, Nursery Practitioners, or Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful impact during the early stages of their education.

Please apply today with an updated CV and a consultant will be in touch with further details.
