About the Role
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Community Occupational Therapist to join their Adult Social Care team. This role focuses on empowering individuals to live safely and independently within their own homes through functional assessments, equipment provision, and home adaptations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out person-centred, needs-led assessments in line with the Care Act and local policy.
• Recommend and arrange for equipment and adaptations to support independence and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, housing officers, and health professionals.
• Provide expert clinical advice and support to service users, carers, and partner agencies.
• Promote independence and prevent the escalation of care needs through early intervention and rehabilitation.

Essential Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Basic Welsh Language skills (Level 1) – training provided to reach this level.
• Good understanding of the legislative framework for community care services.
