SEND Teacher – Key Stage 3 – Complex Needs – South Birmingham

Are you a compassionate and skilled SEND Teacher with experience supporting students with Autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities? A South Birmingham special school is looking for an experienced teacher to lead a Key Stage 3 complex needs class from September. This role involves working with a small group of students in a well-equipped and highly supportive environment.

You will be delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the individual needs of your class. The students require a teacher who is creative, adaptable, and able to foster a calm and engaging learning environment. You’ll be supported by a team of experienced Teaching Assistants and work closely with therapists and pastoral staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated and nurturing team who make a genuine difference in the lives of young people. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is required for this role. 

Job Role:
  • Teaching a Key Stage 3 class of students with complex needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons that promote communication, independence, and learning
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support each student’s development
  • Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Using a range of strategies and resources to support engagement and progress
