Job Description
Are you a passionate SEND Teacher who genuinely wants to make a difference in the lives of young people?
A supportive and welcoming secondary special school in South Birmingham is looking for a SEND Teacher to join the team and teach small classes of students with additional learning needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and communication differences.
This SEND Teacher role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing environment, enjoys building meaningful relationships and can adapt lessons to suit a wide range of ability levels. You’ll be working with a committed team, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a strong senior leadership team that puts student needs first.
Job Role:
• Teaching a small Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4 class with diverse SEND needs
• Planning creative and engaging lessons suited to individual learning styles
• Supporting academic, social and emotional development
• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and pastoral teams
• Managing classroom routines and behaviour in a calm and consistent way
• Monitoring progress and celebrating every success
You Will Need:
• QTS or QTLS
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A positive, resilient and nurturing approach
• A commitment to inclusive education and student-centred learning
