Job Description
A wonderful school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team, teaching small classes of children with special educational needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified primary teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a real difference.
Previous SEND experience is not essential. The school offers excellent support, mentoring and training to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in a specialist setting.
You will teach small classes, allowing you to personalise learning, build strong relationships and focus on each child’s individual progress. You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a collaborative leadership team who prioritise staff development and wellbeing.
The Role:
- Teaching a small primary class within a SEND setting
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Creating a structured, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
- Monitoring progress and contributing to individual learning plans
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a primary setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- A patient, adaptable and positive approach
- A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
- Small class sizes with high levels of support
- Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development
