Job Description
A specialist primary setting is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Key Stage 2 teacher who wants to work in a school where small class sizes allow you to truly personalise learning and see the impact of your teaching every day.
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will teach a small class of pupils, delivering engaging and carefully differentiated lessons that support both academic progress and personal development. You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a collaborative leadership team who value consistency, structure and positive relationships.
The Role:
- Teaching a small Year 6 class on a permanent basis
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Preparing pupils for transition to secondary education
- Creating a structured, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider staff
- Monitoring progress and contributing to individual learning plans
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A proactive and organised approach to planning and assessment
- The ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
