Job Description
Are you an experienced senior leader with a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs? Do you have the knowledge, leadership skills and vision required to lead a specialist provision within a SEND school? This special school is looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to take strategic and operational responsibility for a complex needs provision, ensuring that pupils receive the highest standard of education, care and support.
As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key leadership role within the school, working closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to drive outstanding outcomes for pupils with complex needs. You will lead a team of teachers, support staff and therapists to ensure that learning is personalised and that every child is supported to reach their full potential. This role requires an experienced senior leader who has previously worked as an Assistant Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher and has an exceptional understanding of complex learning needs.
Job Role:
- Leading and managing a specialist complex needs provision within the school
- Providing strategic leadership to ensure high-quality teaching, learning and care
- Supporting and developing teachers and support staff within the provision
- Ensuring personalised learning approaches that meet the needs of pupils with complex needs
- Monitoring teaching, learning and progress across the provision
- Working closely with parents, carers and external agencies
- Contributing to whole-school leadership, development and improvement
