Autism SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary ARP) Location: Brixton, Lambeth
Salary: £545 per week
Job Type: Full-time | Term-time only
About the Role We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brixton, Lambeth. This role is based within the school’s Autism Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with severe autism.
This is a rewarding and hands-on position, ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with severe autism
• Assist with personal care, where required
• Support students with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored learning support
• Help create a structured, safe, and nurturing environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with Autism / SEN (essential)
• Comfortable supporting students with personal care needs
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
