Temporary Catering & Kitchen Assistants
Location: Various locations across the Birmingham & West Midlands area
Hours: Monday to Friday between 10 – 2pm
Pay: £12.71ph
Are you an experienced Catering or Kitchen Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a friendly, fast‑paced school environment?
We are looking to recruit experience Catering & Kitchen Assistants to join our busy temporary team.  We would love to hear from you if you enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in delivering great service.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff
• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
• Operating kitchen equipment safely
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a supportive catering team to ensure smooth service

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role (essential)
• A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards – will can offer Food Hygiene and Food Allergen assessment.
• Flexibility and willingness to support the wider team

As the role is based within a school, all candidates must be willing to complete full safer education vetting, including:

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Reference checks
• Right-to-work documentation
• Additional safeguarding checks as required
