The Role:
As an SEN Graduate Academic Coach, you’ll provide dedicated one-to-one support for a secondary school student with ADHD. Your role will involve helping the student stay focused, manage their learning, and engage positively with lessons. You’ll work closely with the SEN team and classroom teachers to ensure consistent support is in place and adapt learning materials where necessary.
The Candidate:
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a calm, patient approach to working with young people. Strong communication skills and an interest in inclusive education are essential. Any experience working with pupils who have additional needs, particularly ADHD, will strengthen your application.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – A strong interest in supporting students with additional needs.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as mentoring, tutoring, or SEN support is desirable but not essential.
