The Role:
Support Year 1 and Year 2 pupils through short, targeted interventions and in-class support. You’ll guide small groups, provide 1:1 catch-up, prepare simple resources, and keep concise notes so next steps are clear. You’ll reinforce routines, promote positive behaviour, and help children build confidence and independence.
 
The Candidate:
You’re a graduate who communicates clearly, follows guidance well, and brings a calm, organised approach. You enjoy working with young children and are keen to learn from experienced teachers as you prepare for initial teacher training.
 
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in KS1 and pupil progress.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
