Job Description
Are you confident in the classroom and looking to gain valuable experience in secondary education? Several Birmingham secondary schools are seeking Cover Supervisors to join them from September 2025 for both long-term and day-to-day roles.

- Role: Cover Supervisor
- Location: Birmingham (various secondary schools)
- Pay: £500 – £750 per week (depending on experience and placement)
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract: Long-term and day-to-day opportunities available
- Year Groups: KS3 & KS4
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and behaviour is managed effectively. You’ll be expected to supervise a range of subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining a calm and productive learning environment. No planning or marking is required, making this an ideal route into teaching or a flexible education-based role.
The Candidate
This role suits confident communicators with a professional attitude and strong classroom presence. You may be a graduate seeking school-based experience, an aspiring teacher, or an experienced education support worker. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to build rapport with students are essential. Prior experience in a school is helpful but not essential if you have transferable skills.
