The Role
We’re working with an exceptional secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a committed and knowledgeable History Teacher for a long-term supply role beginning in September 2025. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to a thriving humanities department known for academic rigour and creativity.
The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress effectively, and contribute to the wider life of the school. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT ready to make your mark, the school offers a supportive environment where high expectations and professional development go hand-in-hand.
The Candidate
We’re looking for:
- A qualified teacher of History (QTS or ECT)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making history come alive in the classroom
- A commitment to inclusive, inspiring teaching and high achievement for all pupils
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-achieving environment and wants to play a key role in shaping curious, critical thinkers.
