Job Description
A vibrant secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a committed and inspiring English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or an ECT, this long-term role offers the opportunity to make a real impact across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Details
- Position: English Teacher – QTS or ECT
- Location: Secondary School, Wolverhampton
- Salary: £175 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
- Contract: Full-time | Long-term supply

The Role
You’ll be teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, planning engaging lessons that challenge students and nurture a love of reading and writing. You’ll be expected to track pupil progress, contribute to departmental planning, and play an active role in the wider school community.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- QTS or be working towards it as an ECT
- Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching
- Experience teaching the English curriculum at KS3 and KS4
- High expectations for both behaviour and academic performance
- A collaborative and proactive attitude
